Personal Development
The reason that personal development is at the top of the list is that in my opinion it is the keystone to achieving success in any area. There are many ways you can participate in your development, wether it is doing some physical exercise, meditation. Maybe you like to listen to a podcast, read a book, or watch a webinar, there are so many options, simply pick what you appreciate. A daily routine that begins with this component virtually sets you up for success and as you follow these 7 daily steps you will see exactly how.
Content Creation
Now that you have started your day by bettering yourself with some personal development, you undoubtedly have something now to share with others. This maybe something you learned in the same day or something that you have learned previously and are now sharing with your audience or creating for the audience you are creating. With a continual effort at the first step you ensure a constant supply of new material to cover in your content creation.
Post & Share New Content
This seems like it would be apparent however it is a frequent “hole” in peoples marketing. How many times have you re-read something or watched your video and subsequently you did not like what you had produced? This is the perfection problem at its best!
If you are going to start to get some eyeballs on what your creating you have to start posting it to your various marketing channels. Even if your getting started start to share your content, people are watching, reading, and listening.
Foster Existing Relationships
The main reason to continue to develop the relationships you already have is to keep communication open. If you continue to keep the conversation open with those that you know when and if the time is right for them to work with you they will. It is sometimes as simple as a matter of timing, so keep your options open!
Developing New Relationships
Building your list, or creating your audience is a fundamental action and allows you to repeatedly put new people in front of your message. The great part of building your list is that you can now market to your list over and over again. Developing a relationship can be done in many ways and using various marketing tools to enhance and sometimes speed up the process. Personally I like to simply offer my newsletter to people that I meet as a way to stay connected.
Follow Up With Current Prospects
Another one of the “wholes” found in marketers tool belts, is the follow up. You want to follow up with your leads wether you are doing that via an automated email series, or you call your leads. Whatever your choice of follow it is an ABSOLUTE must! When you follow up you are closing the loop that you started with he beginning of the content creation. When you are able to follow up you are now on the road to RESULTS! No matter the result wether the prospect is interested in your offer or not you can now move forward! Done over time and with consistency this process can yield tremendous results.
Daily Gratitude
Taking a moment each day to express some gratitude wether it is in public or private is like the second half of personal development. Having the ability to see where others have helped is a benefit to both us and those that we express our gratitude towards. This step provides us an additional opportunity to communicate with others our appreciation. A simple thank you can go a long way in fostering relationships as well as remembering that success is very often a group effort!
These 7 steps have continued to be a cornerstone for my marketing. Transforming some of these steps and getting even more detailed this basic daily method of operations has become the foundation of several other networking and marketing trainings and workshops. Take what you can and use this as a template to create your daily routines for success!
