Wait… isn’t being successful having a lot of money? Doesn’t money equal success?
I know a lot of people who have a lot of money that I would not call successful.
In today’s post, MLSP L4 Leader & MMT Member Ron Gelok tells a story of a man named Daniel and his 3 friends who challenged societal norms to come to a place of success.
Their approach is nontraditional and their results are not typical.
For some the definition of success is a narrow defined term, but in today’s post I’d like to challenge a traditional view of success and what it means to you.
Does Success Equal Money?
“Success is a Bi-product of right believing. Right believing for me is having my mental and spiritual life on track. For me I achieve that by having a relationship with God. Right believing leads to right action taking. For marketers and entrepreneurs right action taking can be adding value to the marketplace.” – Ron Gelok
The definition I like of success most is the constant progression towards and manifestation of your hopes, dreams, goals, and desires in life. Having an enormous bank account, while very nice, is not the definition of success.
If you equate large sums of money to the quality of happiness and how you view yourself, you are on a dangerous road to self-sabotage.
Money is a bi-product of 2 steps for me…
- Seeking God first and operating in a way that brings glory to Him and help to others,
- Adding value to the marketplace, and having a “call to action,” for your potential customer to proceed into a value exchange (ie you get money).
A value exchange is when your prospect gives you their money in exchange for a product or service you have to offer. So if you want to make more money, create more value with strong calls to action.
However, do not ignore #1. Without having a foundation for living, the amount of money and influence you have will never fulfill you. There is no rest without realization of step #1.
The beautiful thing is here at MLSP we constantly preach “add value to the marketplace,” and we show everyone how to do that with our system regardless of your skill level online or previous success.
Learn to add value and solve solutions in the lives of others, and effectively communicate that via online marketing, and you will earn more money.
Hopefully this helps you arrive at your definition (possibly even redefine your definition) of success today.
Yours in Success,
Ron Gelok
