Most network marketers who want to sign people up using Facebook chat do it all wrong, they are pushing people away by trying to sell right away and often, and they want just to give their links out to people. Have you ever received unsolicited messages from people with their links and you just know this person doesn't care at all about you, all he wants is to sell you something?

Facebook is like a big networking party, nobody likes the guy who immediately after shaking your hand tries to sell you something without even finding out more about you, what you do and what are your goals. People hate to be sold to, especially from people they don't know, like and trust yet.

So how to sponsor people using Facebook chatting?

First of all you need to be in the right emotional state and have the right intentions coming from your heart.
You need to be in a state of high energy, enthusiasm, certainty, clarity, confidence. If your energy is low and you are occupied with your own issues people will feel it.

Second you want to come from the place of service. You genuinely care about people. You genuinely want to help people. You are genuinely interested in them! I highly recommend that you read Dale Carnegie's book “How To Win Friends And Influence People” as it is the foundation of your success. This is what we do, we build new friendships and we are influencing people to better their lives.

You can either proactively initiate conversations with people or people can be reaching out to you after they have watched your videos, read your comments, blog posts, status updates or have been following you for a while.

When you are consistently providing value and communicating, creating and uploading videos, writing blog posts, status updates, emails, posting value in groups, you will have more and more people who will reach out to you.

Also you will have people who send you friend requests, like, comment and share your posts, like your fan page, become your email subscriber. You can connect with all of those people because it's almost like they are giving you digital permission to reach out to them. You can also start conversations with people you find in Facebook groups or fan pages based on what you see they post, who they are etc.

You are looking for people who have a problem, who are dissatisfied, and you want to relate to them and find out more about them, ask the right questions and also tell a little about yourself so it doesn't look like you are interrogating them.

A good way to interact with people and ask the right questions is to talk to them about their FAMILY, OCCUPATION, RECREATION and MONEY/MESSAGE.
It doesn't have to be in this exact order.

Here is an example of how you can start a conversation:
“Hey Bob thank you for liking my recent update, I see we have been friends on Facebook for a while tell me a little about yourself what do you do?”
“Hey Kristi, what inspired you to share my video?”
“Hey John you have a lovely family I see you live in York I have some friends there, tell me a little bit about yourself just curious what do you do?”

You see you are not there to sign someone up or close someone, you want to build rapport and relationships first. You want to see what are their pains, frustrations, goals, desires, aspirations, dreams. You want to connect and have them share their heart a little bit. As they are sharing about their life you can share right back about your life.

Family – Do you have kids, are you married?

Occupation – What do you do in life? Ohh, how long you have been doing that? You must be passionate about it if you are 10 years doing this…

Recreation – What do you love to do for fun?

Money/Message – Why don't you do more often this thing that you love to do for fun? If you had a successful online business would you quit your job?

Asking them about their family a little bit, their work, their hobbies and digging deep into their why, that's what build a relationships.

Ask how can you provide value to them without anything in return? What piece of advice can you give them? What resource can you share, maybe your video training?

How do you know it's time to share a link?

If you offer them a link way too soon it's not going to work. If you push people will resist.
You send a link when you uncovered their heart. You want to attract people to you.

They are not the last prospect on planet earth. If you sound like you are needy or desperate it will repel people very quickly.

You are in control of the process. Your link is the key to their freedom, don't give it away for people who are not qualified.

If they are interested in what you do, don't jump on them with your link like a drooling dog.

There is power in takeaway. Tell that you are not sure they would be interested in what you do. You are not sure they qualify to do what you do 🙂

See you are not looking to work with anybody, you are looking for the right people. Have the posture.

You want them to be very eager to share with them what you do and to guide them. When they WANT to learn more about what you do, then you give them the link.

You can accelerate this whole process if you are going to schedule time to talk to them personally on a video conference or skype because you can see them and hear their voice and you can communicate on a whole different level. It'll take you some practice and skills to sponsor people right on the spot when you are talking to them.

However you can do all of this without even getting on the phone, just by chatting with people on Facebook.
Through Facebook messenger you can send short little videos and audios that you recorded to accelerate the relationships business process.
