When you first start a new business, the thought of getting from where you are now to where you want to be can seem daunting. You have your goals mapped out and a plan in place. Yet somehow you can’t quite figure out how to overcome the overwhelm, push through the inaction, and achieve your dreams.
You might see other people who seem to be effortlessly creating the results you desire and you aren’t really sure what they are doing differently.
Here’s the secret:
Successful people have simply just established certain habits, routines, and actions that they have implemented consistently over time in order to create profitable results.
That’s really all it is.
But the reality is that creating momentum at the beginning of a venture is the hardest part.
It takes effort AND time for the results to kick in. Most people are missing one of those two components, which is why they never seem to gain traction in their business. Some people stick with something for a long period of time but never consistently put effort into it, while other people put in lot of effort here and there but never do so over an extended period of time.
If you’re in that position, then read on as we share with you our 5 Cs for Creating Unstoppable Momentum in Your Business. Apply these five things to push through the inertia and create daily habits that produce big results when compounded over time.
-
COMMITTMENT
The first step is COMMITMENT. You need to be committed to your WHY, committed to your GOALS, and committed to the PROCESS.
Understanding that success can take time and that amount of time can be different for everyone is key. When you are committed, you have the mindset that no matter how long it takes you will persist until you hit your goals. No ifs, ands, or buts!
I can’t tell you how many times we would have given up if we were not committed to our vision. Seriously, there were countless moments on this journey when our outer world seemed to be collapsing all around us, and when a “normal” person would have thrown in the towel, but we persisted because we knew our goals were achievable despite what our circumstances at the time dictated.
Stay COMMITTED no matter what you are experiencing in your life right now. Your dream is far bigger and more powerful than whatever environment you find yourself in this moment.
-
CONNECTION
The second part of our process is CONNECTION. Behind all businesses are PEOPLE. Never forget that.
Products are awesome. Tools are useful. Systems create leverage. But forming genuine CONNECTIONS with people should always be your focus.
Set your intention to connect with new people every day. Use tools and systems to help you reach more people and products to help you solve their problems.
The more you make connection a part of your daily routine, the more you start to genuinely tap into exactly what people need as well as how you can provide it to them.

CONTENT CREATION
Content creation is a critical part of our momentum process. Whether you blog, make videos, create pictures or podcasts, be sure to incorporate at least one type of content into your overall business plan.
Creating content helps your business in a few key ways:
- Positions you as an authority in your niche
- Builds brand awareness
- Allows you to share value by providing solutions to your target market
- Creates long-term leverage for lasting results
Think you don’t have enough experience or value to start creating content? Not true! Share your story, experiences, lessons, takeaways from trainings or webinars, success stories of your team, or solutions to problems that you yourself have overcome. Chances are that if something helped YOU, it can benefit a lot more people as well.
You have plenty of value within you to share with the world, so get out there and create some content!
-
CONSISTENCY
Here is the fun one that many people neglect. Ever had this happen to you? You start a new habit that you decide to do daily. Then all of a sudden daily becomes every few days and then every once in a while and then never again.
Consistency is a critical aspect of success that we learned from reading “The Compound Effect” by Darren Hardy. In his book, Hardy points out that it is the “start and stop process” that sabotages most people’s progress. You get into a routine, start getting some results, and then you start slacking off in certain areas of your routine. Sometimes we do this because we get too comfortable or other times it happens when we simply slip back into old habits or routines. When this happens, momentum slows down or often times stops altogether.
If you truly want to create massive momentum in your business, don’t try to do EVERYTHING all at once. It is far more important to pick small, simple actions that you are confident you can complete consistently over time.
Maybe that’s making one video three times a week or writing a blog post 10 days per month or connecting with five new people a day on Facebook. Determine what your consistent positive actions will be and turn them into an achievable habit.
Remember, small actions compounded over time produce BIG results. Stay CONSISTENT.

COMMUNITY
Community has probably been the most vital component for us maintaining momentum in our business. Plugging into community of inspiring people who share similar values and dreams can help you overcome the mental and emotional roadblocks you will face as an entrepreneur.
Luckily for us, MLSP has been that community.
- The morning wakeup calls provide you with a daily boost in motivation, mindset, and belief
- The weekly training webinars help you learn new marketing skills or fine-tune a marketing strategy that you already use
- The private Facebook community provides answers to questions, is a place to congratulate people on hitting milestones in their business, and allows for new members to be welcomed with open arms by the entire community
- The products, tools, and training in the back office allow you to always be growing and developing your skills as a leader and marketer
- The exposure and leadership recognition as you hit ranks inside the community gets you and your brand in front of 100,000+ people to help skyrocket your business to new levels
Over the past few years, I can honestly say that it was the MLSP community that inspired us to push through the obstacles and never give up despite experiencing many setbacks. Surrounding yourself with motivating people who dream big and ACT BIG serves as a great way to hold yourself accountable. It reminds you that the only way to keep momentum going in your business is to never quit.
And that’s all there is to our five-part process for creating momentum!
It might seem like we covered a whole lot in this post, but it can be summed up like this:
COMMIT to your goals & the process
CONNECT with new people
CREATE CONTENT that provides solutions
Be CONSISTENT with your actions & habits
Stay plugged into a COMMUNITY that inspires you to be more
Have a prosperous day!
