They say a state of gratitude is the best peak state you can be in.
In a recent ‘MLSP Wake UP Call’ L5 Steve Krivda said something that you’ll want to ingrain into your brain…
Here’s what he said: “You wholeheartedly deserve any abundance you want and inherently have the power to attract that abundance.”
He opened by asking us a simple question: “When you talk about what’s possible, do you actually believe what is being told? And, if you DO believe it, why has it not come to fruition yet?”
Both of those statements are profound, and actually necessary for you to truly believe.
Without a doubt, the most miserable people in the world are the people who are continuously trying to convince the world that they are something other than who they are. So Krivda set out a call to action.
Start being who you are because there is no bigger relief than being you. Click To TweetSteve goes on to say there are two selves: Your true self and your expressed self.
Here’s what YOU may not realize…
Your true self has been here the entire time. It’s what has always been and always will be. You can’t change it. However, you can come to terms and recognize who that self is.
Be YOU!
Self is not to be confused with personality, though. Our personality is put together by our skills, our attitudes, how we speak to other people, etc.
Our expressed self is the one that makes mistakes and that’s okay. Because if we don’t see that part of ourselves, how can we move forward?
The reason so many people steer clear of going BIG is because we have a fear of people that might see us as imperfect.
He used a few examples: “I want my blog to be perfect. I want the perfect lighting, the perfect camera, etc.” We are more worried about how people see our expressed self than how people see who we actually are.
He cautioned that if you want to be like the leaders you see, that’s amazing, but be careful on what you’re doing and striving for. You can have what they have, and think like they think, and STILL be you.
Be very careful that you don’t sacrifice who you are and yourself in the process because the happiness will never follow.
YOU ARE ALREADY PERFECT!
We constantly crush our true self through insecurities and lies we tell ourselves.
If you make a mistake or hit a shortcoming, know and recognize that you are not your mistakes. In order to live at a peak state, we need to come to terms with acceptance of ourselves, all of ourselves, our shortcoming and our successes.
How does this affect marketing?
It IS marketing.
Ask a leader how they market themselves, and they’ll most often answer that they market by being authentic to their true self. So recognize right now that self-acceptance is easier when we take those negatives and stop beating ourselves down with them so that we can start accepting our mistakes and accept simply what is.
We are not our mistake; we just made one. We all make dumb mistakes.
Steve emphasized that we can’t move forward unless we recognize our mistakes. We need that negative feedback because otherwise we can never be better.
You have so much power! Most of us don’t realize that. Most of us live in the expressed self realm, and the reason we don’t achieve as much as we could is because that expressed self is so worried about others judging that we’ve exhausted all our options. We simply don’t go all out.
Our actual self is perfect where it is right now. The neat thing about our actual self is that it’s constantly striving; it’s constantly in a state of movement and growth. As a baby, we didn’t have that expressed self to play head games and cause reactions.
So he asked listeners to write down their self-doubts or shortcoming that are coming from your expressed self.
Then, crumple up the self-doubts you wrote down and throw them away. They are illusions, figments of your imagination. Realize what your actual self is because our expressed self is imperfect and always short of the mark. It doesn’t look at what the actual self is capable of.
Accept yourself as you are and start from there. There’s no use straining to become somebody because you already are somebody.

Well articulated. I Like the part of being optimistic in yourself and believes in who you are.
Awesome Davren, We’re glad you found this post useful!
